Visionary Supervisor Spotlight: Jenny Gennaro

We are all about celebrating amazing mental health leaders and clinical supervisors, with plans to highlight one visionary supervisor each month!

This month’s spotlight is Jenny Gennaro Prokopchik, MSW, LCSW, ACS, EMDR-c

We are so excited to feature you as an amazing supervisor! What types of supervision do you offer and to whom?

I offer Individual & Group Supervision mostly to MSWs but I’m also open to supervision to MFTs and LPCs in Colorado.

What makes you a visionary in supervision?

I offer quality, individualized, growth-oriented clinical supervision. I know how it feels to have an agency supervisor who is too burnt out and overwhelmed to provide meaningful and consistent supervision. I know the struggles with being vulnerable around mistakes or errors with your agency supervisor, especially when that person is also your boss. It is challenging to grow and develop yourself as a clinician with supervision and is more invested in you as an employee, rather than a clinician.

My supervision style is trauma-informed and emboldened by themes of diversity, equity and inclusion. I practice from an anti-racist and anti-oppression lens. Working with me means you will be working on deconstructing implicit biases and decolonizing your social work practice.

What is your favorite thing about providing clinical supervision?

Investing in the personal and professional growth and development of the clinician.

We do love clinician empowerment! Where can people find you to learn more about your work?
