Visionary Supervisor Spotlight: Kate Stidd

We are all about celebrating amazing mental health leaders and clinical supervisors, with plans to highlight one visionary supervisor each month!

This month’s spotlight is: Kate Stidd, LPC

What types of supervision do you offer and to whom?

Individual and Group Supervision, Marriage and Family Therapist Associates and Professional Counselor Associates in Oregon

What makes you a visionary in supervision?

I approach supervision with an eye to support developing therapists in understanding and honing their person as a therapist. I believe the heart of therapy is the rapport and relationship between client and therapist. Without deep and continuing self-work, this can be challenging. In addition, I provide a strong knowledge of ethics and a framework for supervision that allows supervisees to learn and grow in an open and non-judgmental space.

What is your favorite thing about providing clinical supervision?

Supporting supervisees in learning and developing who they want to be as a therapist. Also, offering a strong foundation in ethical practice and a broad knowledge of interventions and modalities.
